Terms & Conditions - Baby Equipment Hire

 

Damaged Hire Item

Your credit card will be charged for the repair of the damaged hire item. If the hire item cannot be repaired, your credit card will be charged for the replacement cost of the hired item. We check all hired equipment upon it's return. If you have any concerns regarding the equipment, you must let us know at the beginning of the hire.

Late Return of Hire Item

If you return your hire item late, your credit card will be charged for the extended hire period.

Lost or Stolen Hire Item

If you do not return a hire item, your credit card will be charged for the cost of replacing the hire item. If part of a hire item is missing, your credit card will be charged for replacing the missing part or full replacement cost if it's not possible to replace the missing part.

It is the customer's responsibility to return the hired items in the condition they were received in. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure all parts are returned or available for collection at the end of the hire period. The customer is liable for the cost to replace any missing or damaged items or parts. The customer is liable for the cost of retrieving or collecting any missing items or parts. If returning items to us it is the customer's responsibility to make sure they have returned everything. Whilst Tots On Staff may help you unload your vehicle this does not negate your responsibility to make sure you have returned everything.

Special Conditions For Fold N Go Wooden Cot Hire

Whenever possible we will position the cot in the bedroom requested. In some situations the cot will be left at the entrance of your accommodation. Your hire cot will be delivered by one delivery person. Where there are steps or staircase it might not be possible for our delivery person to lift the cot on their own.

The Fold N Go Wooden cot is on lockable wheels and very easy to maneuver. We recommend you fold the cot before moving it to a different location. Please make sure you fold the cot before moving through doorways or tight spaces. You will be charged for any damage incurred.

We do not supply the Fold N Go Wooden Cot at bassinet level. Customers must not change the cot to bassinet level. Changing the cot to bassinet level will mark the cot and you will be charged the replacement cost of the cot.

Special Conditions for Toy Hire

You must check toys at the beginning of the hire period and let us know if anything is missing, broken or doesn't match checklists provided. We strongly recommend you take photographs of anything you are not sure about and let us know immediately. If you do not bring anything to our attention at the beginning of the hire period you will be charged the replacement cost and any applicable freight charges. You will be charged for the replacement brand & model shown on the checklist or similar item if it is no longer available. There may be an administration charge of up to $60. The administration charge is at our discretion and covers time spent on communication, updating checklists, photographing replacement toys if the original is no longer available and time spent shopping to replace the item. In addition, you will be charged $2 per minute to look for toys that have not been placed in the correct toy box. If you cannot find a toy or book, please leave a note on the toy box. You will then only be charged replacement fees and not searching fees too. Books are not itemised as they change from time to time. You must however check you have returned the correct number of books as shown on the inventory. We will do our best to keep charges to a minimum. If you find an item matching the missing or broken brand / model stated on the checklist at a lower cost, please let us know. Please note administration fees may arise if the item is not an exact replacement. Early communication & checking all items are returned may eliminate or reduce subsequent charges. Thank you for your consideration.

Agents

You will be invoiced in accordance with the above Terms. If you do not accept the above Terms please arrange for your clients to book with us directly.

Photograph Hire Items

We recommend you take date stamped photographs of your hire items at the beginning of the hire period. If you have any concerns regarding your hire equipment, you must contact us at the beginning of the hire period.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is: prior to a week of the booking date a full refund less 3% admin fee* will be given, within 7 days a 50% refund will be given less 3% admin fee* and within 48 hours to the booking a 100% charge applies. Any cancellations of equipment during the stay will be charged for. 

Covid-19 Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be given less 3% admin fee* if changes in alert levels mean you cannot travel to Queenstown. Our normal cancellation policy applies if you cannot travel due to your vaccination status. Our normal cancellation policy applies if you are sick or required to isolate. It is your responsibility to contact us to either cancel or reschedule your booking. Our normal cancellation policy applies if you do not contact us until after your booking has commenced or finished.

*Applies to payments received via credit card on or after 16th June 2021.

Damage to Accommodation

Tots on Tour Ltd does not accept liability for any damage to accommodation as a result of customer’s use of our hire equipment.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Due to circumstances beyond our control (eg customer late returning or breaking equipment) then a substitute model or brand may be provided.

Deliveries & Collection

Tots on tour cannot guarantee a drop/collection time, however we will try our utmost to have the equipment to you as soon as possible. No deliveries or pick ups on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day & 2nd January. No deliveries/collections before 9 am or after 5 pm. Late afternoon and delivery requests within 24 hours will be at our discretion. A minimum hire charge of $60 applies for all deliveries and collections. The Delivery and Collection fee is in addition to the minimum hire charge.

Delivery & Collection Area

Tots On Tour only deliver & collect within the Queenstown area. Tots On Tour do not deliver or collect from other places in New Zealand. If a hire item is left in a rental vehicle returned at a location outside Queenstown it will be considered lost and the full replacement cost will be charged.

Access to Accommodation

Occasionally an agent will not allow us access to your accommodation prior to your arrival. Under these circumstances you may need to collect from and return to us. We cannot meet you at specific times at your holiday accommodation. If you are booking delivery to and collection from your own private accommodation we cannot advise a specific delivery or collection time. All deliveries and collections must be concluded prior to 2.30 pm for Zones 2 & 3 and prior to 2 pm for Zones 4 & 5.

Non Online or Non Payment Link Bookings

If you have booked & paid via telephone or paid via any other non online or non payment link method and do not accept the above Terms please contact us within 12 hours of payment. If your hire has already commenced you will need to cancel the booking within 12 hours of payment. It will be considered that you accept the above Terms if you do not cancel the booking within 12 hours of payment.
